He played the silver Resonator guitar on the first three songs, plus later on The End Of All Rivers...the Collings 6-string on the rest of Set 1...the sunburst Manzer 12-string on the first three songs of Set 2...and then the turquoise Manzer 6-string for the rest of the show except To Keep The World We Know (Appalachian dulcimer) and The End Of All Rivers.
I detected no diminished dexterity at all in his mind-blowing guitar-playing skills. His playing was as masterful as any of the 12 previous times I've seen him, and possibly even more so. He moved up and down the guitar fretboard with great confidence and seemed able to do anything he wanted to at will. (He also 'sang' two trumpet solos with his voice during King Of The Bolero!)
My friend Bob Stewart, sitting with me in the third row tonight, took these photos: three beforehand and the others during The Blues Got The World... and To Keep The World We Know.
My favorite line of the show: "I'm taking shelter in the light."
