Sue Bina reports:
It was a fantastic evening. Each Bruce concert is an emotionally exhilarating experience for me. I want to share a comment Bruce made that evening that really struck me. I love the "conversations" Bruce usually has with the audience, and at every show I've been to (only 4, but each one has been memorable!!), Portland's audiences are very talkative! This evening was no exception. Between songs, the banter was back and forth. At one point, a female voice shouts "I love you Bruce!" He smiles. A male voice shouts "I love you Bruce!" He smiles again. Then more voices shout: "WE LOVE YOU BRUCE!!!!" and he pauses for a half a second and says "I can feel it, and it's mutual." It was a stellar moment. I really believe he meant it, too! The man is just so real that it leaves me at a loss for words.
After the show, he came out and talked to a handful of us waiting by the bus. I was fortunate to be able to share a few moments with him. He is so genuinely kind and so humble, qualities that are very rare to see in anyone with such celebrity. He makes everyone he talks to feel like you have his whole attention and that he is really interested in what you have to say. I know I was not the only one who had an unbelievably good time!
